When looking at today’s world, I’m almost without words…
Israelis performing the biggest genocide in the largest concentration camp the world has ever seen... Of all people, shouldn't they know better??
The jews who have a history of being persecuted, are today’s persecutors. Their entire governmental policy has always aimed to take the land where other lived and turn it into their homeland. I don’t understand. Who wants to live in a city, that needs to be heavily guarded, because it’s build on stolen land???
Is this their way of showing the world the tide has turned? That they are the ‘chosen’ ones? Hmmmmm…
South African black people (am I still allowed to call them that way??), calling for the murder of white farmers, their children and wifes.... Of all people, shouldn't they know better??
The President of South Africa is unwilling to call this man to justice. Showing the world this is the policy of a country that has been abused by white men for decades. In the Golden Age, the Dutch colonized South Africa, subjecting its people to a terrible regime. Turning them into slaves, creating a society of Apartheid. I’m not proud of my country. Not proud of its history of colonizing and slavery.
Having said that, I wouldn’t want to live in the previous colonized countries either. I wouldn’t feel welcome. Even ashamed. But the fact is, others did. They are farmers. Living beings, providing food. And are being killed for something their ancestors did. There is no excuse for that.
Is this their way of showing the world the tide has turned? That they are the ‘strong’ ones now? Hmmmmm…
People who were abused in their childhood, often turn into abusers themselves at a later age. Their children feel powerless and develop the inner drive to show the world their power. To fill a gap deep inside them. It's a never ending story.
If we want a better world, we have to break the vicious cycle. We, the ordinary people.
Can you image a world where people don't shout out for revenge?
I can.
I did.
I've worked my way through the memories of the dark hell of my childhood. I didn't repeat it with my children. I want peace. I work for a better world for all of us.
It's time we all grow up and let go of our pains and the need for revenge. It’s the only way forward.
It's time we build the world we all dream of...
It’s possible. But we have to heal. Nations have to heal. The world has to heal. And that can be done. Person by person, family by family.
Because deep in our hearts we all hear the same call…
With love, as always, Cyntha
